I can heartily recommend the book, it is beautiful, all the patterns come with very good instructions and the history behind the patterns is described in a vivid and entertaining matter.

Thanks so much for all your information! Has anyone checked whether the Scandinavian and English versions differ? Do they both have charts and printed knit patterns w/ measurements? I'd rather not end up with a typical English language knitting book where nothing is charted and where the instructions go on and on for pages. They don't even give visuals on the garment patterns.
Anyway, if anyone can answer my question, I'd be very happy!
