Patchwork, quilting I.

-Aller först vil jeg påpege, JEG HAR IKKE LAVET DISSE TING SELV, DET ER MIN MOR DER HAR LAVET DEM! Min mor er et geni til at sy, og i gennem årene har jeg haft mange beklædningsgenstande og mine börn har haft töj i bunkevis som hun har syet til os. I de senere år er hun begyndt at sy patchwork og quilting, og det har vi såmænd også fået meget ud af. Da jeg ved at flere af mine læsere også er interesseret i den slags vil jeg gerne vise billeder af nogle af de fine ting jeg har fra hendes hånd. Jeg begynder med de julede da de nu skal pakkes ned indtil næste vinter.

-First, I want to emphasize that, I DID NOT MAKE THESE THINGS MYSELF, THEY ARE THE WORK OF MY MOTHER! My mother is a genius at sewing, and through the years I have had a lot of clothing and my kids have had loads of clothes that she sewed for us. In later years she has taken up patchwork and quilting, and we have also benefitted from that. Since I know many of my readers are interested in these things I´d like to show some photos of the things she has made for me. I will begin with the christmassy stuff, since that´s gonna be packed away now until next winter.

-Et lille flettet hjerte af stof.

-A small braided heart out of fabric.

- Min absolutte favoritt, en dug i stjernemönster, den er sååå smuk den dug.

-My absolute favourite, a tablecloth i starpattern, it´s just sooo beautiful.

-Snemands vægophæng, dette er den nyeste ting, fik den nu til jul.

-Snowman wallhanging, this is the newest thing, I got it now for christmas.

-Julestjerne, vægophæng med guldstof og det hele.

-Christmas star, wallhanging with goldfabric and all.

-Julemænd, vægophæng.

-Santas, wallhanging.

-Julepostposen, den hænger ved entréen fra först i desember og når der kommer julekort i posten lægges de heri.

-The christmas post bag, it hangs in the entré since early in december and when a christmas card arrives it is put in here.

-Jeg kommer igen senere med flere af hendes flotte ting, tager det i nogle kapitler.
